Why Steam Clean?
TRADITIONAL CLEANING METHODS
The majority of traditional cleaning methods are based on the use of water and detergents. The surface will give a clean and shiny image through the water that remains on the surface. The detergents ensures the surface smells fresh and clean. However, in reality this is very often not the case.
The surface may seem clean, but bacteria and dirt stay behind and will duplicate rapidly in a moist environment.
The deep cleaning effect of steam ensures that bacteria and other unwanted micro-organisms are destroyed, even right down into the deepest pores of the polluted surface. Subsequently the minimal residue left behind by the use of steam can be removed by the simultaneous use of microfibre or vacuum. This way the bacteria will not be able to duplicate and the surface will be instantly and hygienically clean.
By introducing steam into your cleaning methods you can save on the use of detergents by up to 80 to 90%. The water usage can even be reduced up to 95%! All of this saves you money and, even better, saves the environment.
5 REASONS TO CHOOSE STEAM CLEANING:
- Instantly clean and dry surfaces– Ready for immediate use and improved bacterial efficiency
- High level of hygiene – An improved antibacterial system, scientifically proven against hospital bacteria such as MRSA.
- Environmentally friendly – Steam uses less water than traditional methods and minimal amounts of detergents.
- User friendly – Easy to use and ergonomic design.
- Reduce your costs – Low water usage, saving in labour cost
Steam Cleaning FAQ’s
WHAT IS A STEAM CLEANER?
A steam cleaner is an appliance that uses only a little water and a little electricity to sanitise, clean and deodorise virtually any surface – without using detergents.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Using only a small amount of clean, cold tap water, a steam cleaner creates low moisture vapour that carriers heat to the surface you wish to treat. The heat combined with light agitation does the work. In combination with a wide variety of accessories it can be used on an unlimited number of applications.
WHAT IS ‘DRY’ STEAM VAPOUR?
Steam is called ‘dry’ if it only contains around 5% to 6% water and is much less dense than the air we breathe. It is mess free with temperatures high enough to kill bacteria and germs, emulsify grease and oil as well as other surface contaminates. The result: a completely hygienic and dry surface.
WHAT CAN I USE IT ON?
Dry steam cleaning can be used on practically any surface with the exception of those surfaces that are extremely heat sensitive. Surfaces such as silks, some very thin plastics, and some types of velour upholstery must be treated with great care.
WHERE DOES THE WATER GO?
The water is put into a special tank or boiler that super heats the water and changes it into hot dry steam. The unique benefit of our steam cleaners is that they produce a low moisture, high temperature steam that carries only about 6% water. We like to call this Dry steam because so little water is left behind and so little is used.
DO I NEED DETERGENTS IN COMBINATION WITH STEAM?
In most cases you do not need detergents. With the dry steam technology the highest results are maintained with almost every common cleaning activity. However, we acknowledge the fact that in some cases the cleaning process can be accelerated through the use of a detergent combined with steam. Therefore we offer a range of machines that have detergent facility, and recommend that only approved detergents be used, advice should be taken from detergent suppliers.
